The artist behind the brush

I’m Jess Webber, a 33 year old artist, cake decorator, and mom. Originally from Grand Coulee, I relocated to Spokane in 2011 to pursue a degree in graphic design.

My primary focus is acrylic paintings on canvas, with a particular emphasis on abstract art, though I’ve also explored creating murals. My personal painting style is building layers of solid lines, rather than blending techniques and my work typically has a lot of movement to it.

Greetings, curious wanderer! If you’ve stumbled upon this digital parchment, you might just be on a quest to unravel the enigma that is me.

Art, music, and writing have always been my passions, providing an escape since childhood. I primarily create abstract art to process my emotions, enjoying the freedom of colors, shapes, and movement over realism. College fine arts electives were my favorite, and I discovered a preference for traditional brushwork over digital graphic design. Recently, I’ve been exploring how to incorporate my abstract style into more recognizable subjects.


Although I didn’t attend a traditional fine arts school, I participated in numerous individual art classes during my education. Most of my techniques are self-taught through experience, but there are unforgettable lessons I’ve learned from excellent teachers. In college, I had a teacher who was a significant role model for me and I continue to draw inspiration from fellow artists and my personal experiences.


I am an up and coming artist, just starting to build my art business. I have had work displayed in the Terrain art show in downtown Spokane in 2025 and 2026 and plan to pursue more opportunities to display my work.
